Many professionals provide data to executives. They may be people you’d view as technical experts, with titles like engineer, data scientist or statistician. Or they may be marketers, sales managers or others who deal with numbers to some degree, but focus on other business knowledge. The executive is looking at them and thinking, “Should I trust this person? Should I bet my job on this person’s advice?”
