Svenska statistikfrämjandet bjuder nu in till konferens för dig som läser en mastersutbildning i statistik eller närliggande område.
Konferensen hålls från tisdag den 20/5 kl. 13:00 till onsdag den 21/5 kl. 12:00 i SCBs lokaler på Karlavägen 100 i Stockholm.
Under konferensen kommer du att få höra bland annat:
- Presentationer från statistiker som representerar områden som är vanliga för statistiker att jobba inom
- Presentationer av studentarbeten
- Presentation av ny forskning från meriterade föreläsare
Observera att presentationer kan ske både på svenska och engelska.
Konferensen är helt gratis och inkluderar middag på tisdag kväll.
Resestöd kan sökas för studenter som inte bor inom pendlingsavstånd från konferenslokal. Vi undersöker även möjligheterna att tillhandahålla logi för långväga deltagare.

This short course will examine different types of hard-to-survey populations. Some of these populations are rare; others are hidden; some are difficult to find or contact; still others are unlikely to cooperate with survey requests. We distinguish populations that are hard to sample, those whose members who are hard to identify, those that are hard to find or contact, those whose members are hard to persuade to take part, and those whose members are willing to take part but nonetheless hard to interview. These distinctions reflect the main steps in most surveys.

The Young Statisticians Section of the RSS and Significance magazine have just launched a writing competition aimed at Early Career Statisticians.
Are you an early-career statistician with a statistical story to tell? If so, we invite you to enter the 2019 Statistical Excellence Award for Early-Career Writing. The competition is jointly organised by Significance and the Young Statisticians Section of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and forms part of the RSS Statistical Excellence Awards programme.
The rules of entry are simple: send us your best statistical writing in the form of a magazine article (1,500 to 2,500 words) on any subject you like. Deadline: May 27.

ESPOL Polytechnic University is proud to host ICORS-LACSC 2019 on May 28-31, 2019.
This year, the International Conference on Robust Statistics (ICORS) and the Latin American Conference on Statistical Computing (LACSC) will be jointly organized in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The 2nd LARS-IASC School on Computational Statistics and Data Science will be a satellite event on May 26-27, 2019.

The Nordic-Baltic Region of the International Biometric Society (IBS-NBR) welcomes you
to NBBC19, June 2-5, 2017 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The conference is an excellent opportunity for learning about recent advances in biostatistics/biometrics, exchanging research experiences and getting to know colleagues from neighbouring countries.
The conference will include Keynote presentations, Invited sessions, Contributed sessions and poster sessions.
